  1. I think it was a good video but the guy that did the honest and right thing did not get anything more than a thanks for being honest… They did not mention his company and I think they should have at least shown the company name on his truck ……

    1. 187bronco187 exactly a service fee is a must I’ve had a lot of customer mad cause I found a problem so simple I just charge a service and they freak out but the customer have to understand that when they called the csr tells them that for us coming out it would be a service charge. The only time you don’t charge a customer if you found a problem give estimates and one is sold. If one is sold but want to schedule to do the job on a different day we would charge the service fee that would go to towards that job and once the job is done collect the remaining balance from the estimate

    2. it was not the point of rewarding it was the point of reporter getting what she wanted to see… and if she didnt know or was shown to her what hade to be done even she wouldnt know 100% and in the end she would have to pay alot of money lol but she got what she wanted anyway

    1. Walrus Overlord Haha, I love it when someone finds the hidden gem in otherwise boring videos. Well done, sir.

    1. Yah they could of atleast gave us the free plumbers name so we could give him a thumbs up. We need more like you.

  2. The guy who didn’t charge is an idiot! If you think these customers will be loyal just because you are an honest and nice guy, you are wrong. Most of them can’t remember what they did 5 minutes ago, let alone your company’s name.

    1. Rubbish mate.  Often did it & gave them my business card, or said ‘Put a £ in a charity box.’ It was worth no end of recommendations & repeat business.  (But any customer trying to take advantage would be quickly dropped.)

  3. Notice how the rip-offs are getting all the attention and the honest ones barely a mention. Gotta love television.

    1. The Rip offs are the point here. Being honest should be the norm and not news worthy. They did mention many did the right thing and one great guy did it for free.

    2. That was indeed the general intent. I feel the good and honest guys deserved some publicity at least. It may not be newsworthy but honest work needs honest pay.

  4. This is the kind of stuff that makes people not want to call contractors. I can tell you from experience, no matter how bad you want the extra money- honesty gets you more business in the long run.

    1. +godbluffvdgg walmartville arkansas. The fastest growing place in country. Population trippled last 15 years and no slow down in construction last 20 years. Estimated 5,000 new houses and commercial buildings will be built this year in area.

    2. +Joe Smith …I had to google it, because I thought you were bullshitting me…;) Bentonville right? Headquarters of Walmart…I bet there is a lot of loot around there…
Good luck and I hope you never see a punch list again…:)

    3. Honesty in this country does not pay. 99% of the people are dishonest..Wanting something for nothing. Americans live each day just to see what they can steal.

  5. They should have put out the name of the guy that charged nothing. THOSE are the types of plumbers that everyone needs. Honest people should be rewarded with more business!!

    1. mo mmbosu exactly, he was most likely about to leave the company. I did the same once I left my company as a service tech

    2. Ninnies/Nannies are called ninnies & nannies because they just love getting fucked by plumbers!!!!! They’re just sick and sad fucks plumber bob. I’m telling you. When someone is that sexy, they just need it Too Hard. The nice guy is too nice, the fucking guy is ‘too fucked’. These ninnies **Want… To… Just, Get, FUCKED**

    3. no man…those are the normal kind of guys…I do this very often…I could profit of many clients…but when I see that there is only a minor thing…I cant…I just cant tax the client…and if he wants to pay me something for the bother…its ok…but I cant be so pervert to take money for something that was in fact nothing…especially to lie about it…trust me..when clients see this..they will love you and keep calling you..and recomend you..and that..means more clients and happy earned money for a good job..Remember..fear God…and be right!dont lie and dont be a human scumbag…and God will reward you..with everything you want!

  6. What a terrible segment. Highlight the dishonest plumbers, but don’t mention where the guy who wasn’t going to charge you a penny was from. Journalism.

    1. He probably would have sold the old heater. That was part of the scam! He would have made double! Plus the new heater looked smaller than the old one. It was probably worth more.

    2. Of course, it is not a bad deal at all!
Water heater alone is 375/400. Probably this dude is stealing the water heater and keeping the money to himself maybe share it with someone at the shop. To install a water heater like this now days is about 1300 to 1500.

    1. OFFICIAL NSA You might be right. Those of who are really interested in the news are not bothered by what the presenter looks like; this is of course completely irrelevant. This is one good reason for not watching television but for listening to the radio or reading about it, so one isn’t distracted by a presenter’s looks. I should have put this into practice when I decided to watch this news story!

  7. “You came in, you tightened the nut, and you weren’t even going to charge me anything!”

“Well, you have large breasts and you’re attractive.”

    1. TheChosenOne You’re obviously not bright enough to understand so I’d better use simple language to explain. We know that we find many women attractive. However, intelligent men don’t use the crude word ‘horny’, and intelligent men don’t feel the need to broadcast to the whole world that a woman is attractive. This is obvious. Intelligent men, furthermore, are usually not sexist, either. The subject here was plumbing scams, nothing else. Got it? Or shall I spell it out in words of one syllable?

  8. the companies with the biggest ads in the phone book and the vans with the most lettering are the biggest rip-offs. Never hire Roto-Rooter.

  9. They should’ve given more recognition to the honest guys. It is good to know who the crooks are, but the honest guys deserve just as much attention.
