DEALING WITH TAXI SCAMS IN MANILA (PHILIPPINES)

Click Here And Learn How To Avoid Scams Online

Taxi scams happen often in Manila, Philippines. You know you're being scammed when the taxi driver does not turn the meter on, or asks for "fixed rates." I would recommend to never use taxis while in Manila. Stick with GrabCar or Uber.

    1. I just rode a taxi today, they are dishonest people as usual, at the destination, my meter says 159 pesos so I gave them a test of Integrity, I gave him 220 pesos. Then when I ask him how much did I gave him, he said 170 pesos and he got no change, only 3 pesos ang kanyang barya. At the the end of the day, 220 minus 159 is equals to how much his Integrity costs. Good bye Taxi. I choose Grab kahit mahal

  1. *WHAT??? GOOD PASSENGER?!! The driver I guess was not interested that you’re actually putting him on cam HAHAHA now I just watch it on TV PATROL* ?????? *LMAO*

    1. I would like to record as well when i get put in similar situations to this but I get scared cause you never know when they will get violent. I think that it might be dangerous to film sometimes because if they get mad you don’t know what they’ll do.

    2. a lot of people of my people think that way weather theres good or bad.me my happy-tot happens when i want to lessen my bar visits.to make my resolution
true I must think about that ego never-mind the number-1 that it’s all O.K they to are nonsense people.never playin good but still they wears a hell of a mask.

Well may kanya kanya naman tayong opinyon.?

  4. Waahh grbe si kuya taxi driver..kaya never na kami nag taxi, uber and grab nalang tlga..hays kaloka..todo explain pa..tsk

  5. Good for you Haley! The authorities there really need to do something about this. Everyone’s first experience in the Philippines is getting scammed by a taxi. It’s happened to me several times. Not good for tourism at all. Why don’t they just create a certified taxi system like other countries do with flat rates to certain areas or requiring the meter to run before the passenger gets in.

    1. True, land, exit the airport, then get scammed by a taxi. When in Manila, the area near the airport is much worse for taxi scams.

    1. Flip Baller tinanggal nanlicense nya. salamat kay Haley, siguro now matatakot na ang ibang abusadong dltaxi drivers dyan. check mo ang TV patrol.hahaha nanggigigil din ako sa driver na to

    2. Sylvette Slavika shebis not new in the ph she is wills sister so she is diffinitely not new to taxi scammers

  7. If someone tries this on me after a long flight I’ll go in full mental monster mode and I’d instantly be the new owner of the taxi hahaha. Scammers, you’ve been warned 😛

    1. Haley Dasovich I have previously been stung by the same taxi scam in the same place. Thank you Haley for exposing this and hopefully what happened to him will make the others think twice. He really picked the wrong girl to mess with. Much love to you and your bro. xxx
