I hate conmen like these fake body repair guys.
So I'm in Vienna meeting up my friend to get coffee and park my car in a corner spot near a traffic light. I see this dodge caravan at the red light, who starts to reverse, and just narrowly misses my car, just as I'm about to step out of it. So I get out quickly and just go "hey hey hey, getting a little close!" In case they can't see my car. Turns out they just wanted to ask if I wanted body repair for a small scratch on my bumper, I politely decline and it takes some persuasion but they go back to the red light.
I then decide that my parking spot was probably a bad spot, since it would be easy for a car to side swipe me. So I jump in and start my car, and at that moment, the van starts reversing again (still at the red light), and this time they're reversing going the wrong way. They then park 4 spot away from me, kinda acting suspicious. So as I drive away, I take a pic of their license plate, not trying to be sly while I do this.
They then jump back in their van and aggressively follow me to the other side of the parking lot and pull up right next to me and start to question why I took a picture…well I'm glad I did and I'm glad I got the video below. I reported them to the non emergency police.
Don't get scammed by these types of guys, and if you see them in Vienna, call the non emergency police and report them.
The scam:
They slap some watered down body filler on the damaged area while you go get money / shop, so when you come out, they tell you it's fixed. They tell you to keep the white sloppy body filler on it for 24 hours so it can "set", then clean it off. All it does is conceal the fact that they did nothing until they're long gone. The shit probably does more damage than you initially had, let alone if you try to remove it try. RIP clearcoat.

They are scammers . They cannot fix dings and dents COMPLETELY. They cannot spray clear coat over the paint. They would need a license for that . Never mind that they would have no clue how to do it. It will take at least an hour for clear coat to dry with heat lamps. Then it will need to be polished.

have to agree with the other comments….they asked to give you a service, and in no way claimed to be professional repair men (that may have been before the video)….then you made a scene for purposes of what? to get views on Youtube? come one man….
Seems like they just asked a question and didn’t even try to scam you or force you in to it but you being very afraid and felling like you need people on Facebook and YouTube to say “wow this guy has a adventurous life” because your life is boring you bothered these people for no reason nonsense
I had the same problem and being forced and robbed, but I am glad that I didn’t get hurt.

no you cannot play detective and take pictures of license plates numbers it really is against the law you have to have a license to be a private detective even a private Pi has to inform those who are being spied on that they’re taking photographs of their vehicles or homes you have to have a license otherwise it’s against the law
