    1. You mean so minimal that u get spammed the moment u entered Manila Airport to when u leave?? I got a bullet spam by Manila airport security personnel! They want 25000 peso or I’ll be jailed! That is not minimal! So safe everywhere u go, security have machine gun…this is not even a police! Philippines is no better than Thailand if not worse!

    2. +Zac Jensen that’s sad to know dude. hell yah we have the worst airport and i mean it. but i’m referring the spams from the video, did you experience same spam when you were in Philippines? make sense?

    3. +Zac Jensen sorry that happened to you.. They’re cracking down on the placed bullet or ” laglag bala” scam now over there.. The security staff at Manila airport have turned into new social pariahs due to it, they’ve lost face and all.. If you ever are in a situation like that again, mention that you know they are trying to do “laglag Bala” on you, threaten that you’ll go to ABS CBN news or CNN Philippines with it (the main news channels) and they’ll get scared and leave you be.

    4. i agree with that and the phillipines is one the highest kidnapping captials of the world i went there 20 years ago and i won’t be back been thailand several times it’s safe

  1. I LOVE YOUR ADVICE, TRUE, TRUE, TRUE AS I HAVE BEEN THERE! STILL LOVE BANGKOK, GOING BACK IN AUGUST, HAVE TOO SAVE PENNY’S FRIST! LOVE YOUR VID!

    1. YOU RE MISTAKEN. MOST OF THAI PEOPLE ARE RESPECTFUL. LOT MORE THAN IN EUROPE. ACTUALLY IN ALL THE COUNTRIES I VISITED IN ASIA? THAILAND IS THE BEST. TRUST ME INDIA…IS THE WORST? RESPECT…MOST OF INDIANS DON T KNOW WHAT IT MEANS EVEN IF THEY USE THIS WORD ALL THE TIME…BUT THAILAND…JUST GO AND CHECK BY YOURSELF, CULTURALY HUGE, NATURE BEACHES ANIMALS…TOP OF THE TOP

    2. been to thailand 30 times, Many friends have been there, once you go you can’t wait to go back, man or woman. Nobody gets scammed. The thai people are very honorable. I’ve heard of 3 stories, one I witnessed where someone left their wallet somewhere or a camera and a thai went to great lengths to return it. This video is super deceiving. Not sure of the motivation, maybe the guy went there with his girlfriend and she dumped him there.. not sure but its false

    3. Why are you saying loser american? I love Thailand and the thai people. I’m american, Don’t be disrespectful.

  2. Unless you’re a weak, pathetic excuse for a human being you WON’T be scammed in Thailand. FACT. If in doubt – smile and keep walking, you don’t owe a conversation to anyone man. Keep it real.

  3. Many months in Thailand and I only scammed myself by being to generous with a bar girl. And not taking the time to bargain. Also, I don’t consider a couple of extra dollars for a ride as scamming. The Thais themselves get weary our stingy ways. My wealthy traveling friend argued about paying 60 cents to much for a tuk tuk. And for those who won’t travel to Thailand…stay home. You guys are such a drag. RB.

  4. Solid information. Please note, regarding the gem scam, whatever information you may research on the price of a gem is naturally based on the gem being real. The problem in Thailand is that whatever gem you’re looking at inside a gem shop will probably be a fake or near fake. So not only will it be overpriced, it will also not even be genuine. So unless you have some expertise in evaluating gems on the spot, just don’t buy any gems in Thailand.

  5. why would you ever want to visit a country, when you constantly need to be on your toes…doesnt make any sense….

    1. +Christopher Laxama….. thanks for your affirmation of my previous comments – which is appreciated. (although I am NOT in any way, shape or form your ‘brother’!)
My point was (and still is) that Thailand is completely different depending on whether you are visiting as a tourist or living here. My experiences as a tourist (and I have visited Thailand on holidays for more than 20 years) are mostly very positive.
However, having lived here as a ‘resident’ for over 3 years – I can honestly tell you that it has been an absolute nightmare. Indeed, so much so that my wife and I are leaving Thailand for good very soon – and I really don’t care if I never come back!
They always say that you ‘never really know a country until you live there’ – and this is certainly true of Thailand. After our experiences here I would definitely NOT  recommend Thailand as a possible retirement location or a country in which to live on a permanent basis. And if I wanted to spend a week or so lounging around on a beach or chilling out – I can also think of much better places to go.

    2. i visit america quite often and find myself on my toes more there than any other country in the world

  6. The best thing is to avoid this country at all. Most of the locals can not belive why foreigners visit their country and lough at us. You also must be aware that foreigners do not have rights in this Thai country. Go to the Phillipines where you can speak english. The beaches are also pretty and the people are WAY more friendly.

    1. I am Thai, I am very sorry you guys say this.

    2. ok mr. technical at least top 5 there’s always a smart asss that finds they need to correct and take everything so literal, you get the point its among the most dangerous places to visit

    3. Thats the biggest bunch of horse crap I’ve ever heard. Its far more dangerous in the Philippines. On top of that, you have way less variety of food and its tougher to get around. If you look up videos comparing the two countries, you will have a hard time finding a video that say what you are saying. Thailand is an amazing place and I know many thai people, they know why we come and they welcome us because the country make its money on tourism.

  7. I wish I had seen this video before, Nice Video Buddy….
I got scammed by Arab looking men, who asked me if I am an Indian and then they asked me to show Indian currency
I opened my wallet, and said I dont have Indian currency. He started putting his hands in my wallet
I put the wallet in it
He was with another man and two arab women in Burkha
He then showed me, his bag with 10,000 USD notes, which looked real and said he wont steal my money
Then I opened the wallet again and they distracted me or dont know what they did, and then left and then opened my wallet and realized 200 Euro gone…
    Bloody Losers!!!!!
I complaiend to thai police, dont know if they will catch them…There were definately CCTV Cameras
These looked syrian or Iraqi dressed up as arabs
Any arab approaches you asking to see your money
    Walk Away!!!!

    1. If anyone asked me to open my wallet so they could “look at my money” I would laugh in their face!! How could you fall for that?

    2. Shivaan Jaan they do that in Egypt too to Arabs and others. We’re they would be out of the airport and ask to see the money.

    3. I am visiting there next week – been in 57 countries but not here. Tx for this great input. If they come across, I will now play around with them a little.

    1. I’ve been reading how the ladyboys are stabbing farangs who refuse to have gay sex. Most of ’em have AIDs anyway.

    2. You’ve been “reading” ? What have you been reading? Gay sex fantasy mags or what? Most don’t have aids, ladyboy stabbing is untrue – I’ve NEVER heard that. Leon have you had the opportunity to visit this wonderful country – and if you have, did you go to places other than red light districts? Come on; I’m sorry you had a bad experience – IF you have every been here. I came here from Alaska and decided to live here it’s been so great.

    3. Leon Allan Davis wait I just heard another school shooting in the U.S. ??? fcking murderers

  8. Hi ! As a Thai im so sorry for those things that happened to you or other foreigners i think that is really embarassing even im Thai still hard for me accept those things. but i dare to say confidently that just the minority of bad guys in Thailand would do that. but the majority or general Thai are very nice and generous.

    1. ชลกฎ ชัยสิทธิ์ดํารง your people are very polite and nice, I was very pleased!

  9. i feel you guy! as a Thai i really hate those disgusting behavior of minority bad guys in Thailand. but i dare to say that tge majority of Thai are really nice and generous. they even willing to help foreigners without any money or something in return.

    1. ชลกฎ ชัยสิทธิ์ดํารง thailand is beautiful country..this guy making youtube video guy for money . but not sure he visit ur country. he is more scam

    2. ชลกฎ ชัยสิทธิ์ดํารง I am Thai, and guys*, I* , They are even*. As a Thai too.

    1. Wouldn’t it be easier to take advantage of you if you’re nowhere near everybody else? I’m assuming touristy places actually have tourist police and other protections, compared to the fringes.

    2. ITIS ILLEGAL TO KEEP SOMEBODY ELSE`s IDENTITY. INTERNATIONAL LAW. JAIL TERM. JUST CALL OR GET THE COPS

  10. Don’t rent jet skis in the first place is the best advice. In your other video you say you lost $800. If my math is right, that is about 24,000 baht. You can rent a small apartment for 3 months for that much in Pattaya or bang 16 girls on soi 6 for that much at 1500 baht for each experience. NEVER RENT A JET SKI!!!!

    1. The exchange rate calculator on the XE web site shows:

      US Dollar <-> Thai Baht
      800 USD = 28,192.16 THB
      1 USD = 35.2402 THB
      1 THB = 0.0283767 USD
      Live mid-market rate 2017-01-29 19:05 UTC

Over the years, I’ve used XE for conversion between USD and CAD/GBP/EUR/TRY/CNY/HKD/KRW/TWD/JPY/AUD.
I sometimes use it for precious metal prices (XPT, XAU, XPD, XAG). It’s great, it’s fast, and it’s free.

  11. When you mentioned Scam # 10, Police Scam, you exaggerated and claimed that 95% of the police officers are corrupt. Why did you get the number? Just pulled in out from the sky? I agree that some are corrupt, but not the majority of them. Do not give false information.

    1. He said “I’d say”. It was an opinion. People are allowed to give opinions, he never said it was real information. 😛

    2. if you bring statistic it’s mean you need fact or source of information or your word will become lie or can’t believe

    3. well you coouldn’t bring statistics into that even if you wanted to,its obviously a broad observation not meant to be taken literally

    1. I agree. That’s kind of dumb. I bring an old driver’s license. Most never check the expiration date!

    1. …and stay at home in your safe rocking chair watching judge judy whilst simultaneously dreaming of what this beautiful world has to offer… better lock your door though at night – and the day time.

    2. Thailand is amazing, been there 30 times, more than 30 and had a blast, a year ago took my kids, my 19 year old son who lives in beverly hills with his mom, had no problem walking through anyplace we were at including Bangkok and the kid is super sheltered. His sister and I had drinks after we would eat dinner and he would walk home. Trust me, I’ve been all over the world, I wouldn’t let my kids be in dangerous places let alone walk the streets without me if it were dangerous.

  12. To people on here saying avoid Thailand, have you seen the scams in London? Japanese tourists getting scammed £200 for a couple of hundred yards tuk tuk ride? And lots of other scams so remember, it happens everywhere and just use common sense.

Also, my first night in Thailand I got lost (after loads of drinks admittedly) but a bunch of Thai guys outside a cafe helped me out, one made a phone call to an English speaking guy who translated and then one of them brought me back to my hotel on his moped.

Go to Thailand and enjoy yourselves but just be as aware as you would be in any place you’d visit.

    1. Two contrary points:
      1. There are no Tuk Tuks in London
      2. Foreigners or non-native british people commit 99% of the scams.
Same in Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, or Vienna.

    2. Those shits who’s probably too poor to afford a ticket to Thailand will never understand. I understand bro

    3. Imagine walking the streets in thailand at night in a big city in England, or the USA compared to say Bangkok… lol Give me a break, Thailand is far safer.

  13. sounds so scary. please let us know when the office of tourism or government have cleaned the place up to make it safe and friendly for visitors. until then,….
